When people begin dating it is often an exciting time. They have met someone new and get to learn about them. They find out interesting facts about each other and compare lifestyles. In the process of doing all of this, they go out and have fun together. Their dates are a time to learn about each other by sharing activities and special events. After a while, the beginning of the relationship is over and the couple becomes comfortable with each other.
Once the exciting first phase of the relationship is over, it is time to assess whether or not they should remain a couple. A person's sky diving hobby or world traveling job might have been exotic when the relationship began. These activities may not be quite so good when considering marriage and children. These are the types of issues that must be settled before a couple can take their relationship to the next level.
